After most face surgery at Grand: swelling peaks within 48 hours; use ice packs for 7 days, then warm packs; keep your head raised when sleeping; avoid sauna for about 4 weeks; and avoid strenuous exercise for 6 weeks. Your coordinator gives you written instructions for your procedure.
